General Training Unit 06
This unit focuses on labelling diagrams, a question type used in both the reading and listening tests. In writing, the unit develops Task 1 letter skills, including how to make requests and express thanks, and also builds on earlier essay skills by showing how to present and support opinions clearly in Task 2 responses. You will also learn how to use linking words to organise ideas and improve coherence in your writing.
In speaking, the unit introduces strategies for responding effectively in Part Three, where you are required to discuss topics in greater depth. The unit also includes model answers and sample responses, as well as the Unit 6 vocabulary list, to help you expand your language and understand how high-scoring responses are structured.
